Product Description:
Nonwoven Geotextile Fabrics are probably the most commonly known geotextile. Nonwoven polypropylene fabric, which has a felt-like consistency, combines strength and flow ability. Available in varying weights and thicknesses, the fabrics are strong but permeable, allowing for varied uses.
Nonwoven Geotextile Fabrics commonly are used as a separator between subsoils and rock riprap, and they also are used to separate soils and sized stone in many ground-level and subsurface drainage applications. Nonwoven Geotextile Fabrics have a random, three dimensional pore structure and are highly water permeable, as is necessary in many geotextile end uses. A wide range of fabric weights ranging from 3.1oz. to over 16 oz. is offered to meet the requirements of various Non-woven applications. Custom sizes are available with all of our Woven and Non Woven Geotextile Fabrics. We offer the lighter weight Non woven fabrics.
GT175 Nonwoven Geotextile Fabric, 7.5 oz. is a needle-punched nonwoven geotextile which has excellent water flow rates and resists ultraviolet deterioration, rotting, biological degradation, naturally encountered alkalis and acids. Needle-punched nonwoven geotextiles have been used in drainage applications including trench drains (also known as french drains), as a wrapping for perforated pipe, for erosion protection, for the separation of a roads sub base and base course, and combined with three-dimensional structures to create prefabricated drains. They are also commonly used with geomembranes to provide a protective cushion. Needle-punched nonwoven primary functions: filtration; separation; protection; drainage.
