^{GT175 Nonwoven Geotextile Fabric, 7.5 oz. is a needle-punched nonwoven geotextile which has excellent water flow rates and resists ultraviolet deterioration, rotting, biological degradation, naturally encountered alkalis and acids.  Needle-punched nonwoven geotextiles have been used in drainage applications including trench drains (also known as french drains), as a wrapping for perforated pipe, for erosion protection, for the separation of a roads sub base and base course, and combined with three-dimensional structures to create prefabricated drains. They are also commonly used with geomembranes to provide a protective cushion. Needle-punched nonwoven primary functions: filtration; separation; protection; drainage.}
