^{These organic hemp herd and fiber absorbent erosion control wattles are manufactured with 100% organic hemp hurd and fiber matrix using a heavy-duty polyester grid casing. They are designed to filter}^{sediment from water before entering storm drain inlets. They also serve to slow the velocity of water runoff in channels and slopes. When installed on slope contours, they act as a slope interrupter, effectively reducing the length of the slope. Temporary ponding behind the wattles allows seed and sediment to fall from suspension and create an enhanced seed bed. In channels, these wattles act as a mini check-dam when installed across the flow, and in perimeter protection they act as a ponding device to keep sediment-laden water from leaving the site.}

Hemp erosion control wattles are made to filter sediment flow in channels and slopes. The wattles are made to conform to the soil's surface and are secured by staking.
